Global vs local careers taxonomy for graduate employability: Through the lens of students’ typology and destination

Career studies literature suggests that careers become more boundaryless and global. Students, the agents of choice career, are not a homogeneous cohort anymore. We add to discussion students’ typology proposition for career further develop graduate employability discourse. make first attempt student global vs local taxonomy contribute into understanding decision making. Our contribution offers two-dimensional taxonomy, with one dimension being type another destination. The conceptual is empirically tested data from than 400 business economics students. show would prevail above each types. findings deeper making broadens our comprehension variety employability. study develops future research agenda development researchers multinational corporations’ (MNC) practitioners practical teaching learning in universities.
